Get A Leg Up - Plus Size Heart Panel Tights by Pamela Mann.

Heart Panel Tights by Pamela Mann (£7.99).
I feel like I am forever on a quest to find tights which fit well so was over the moon when I discovered that Pamela Mann tights went up to a UK size 32.

I have a tendency to buy tights in the biggest size I can with the aim of pulling them up to just underneath my chest where possible. If I don't, I find myself doing the "hosiery shuffle" to avoid the crotch sliding down towards my knees, but even then frequently throw some shapewear on top to keep them in place. For the first time in a very long time I trusted what the size guide said, and Pamela Mann didn't let me down. They were maybe a tiny bit tighter on the thigh than I'm used to, but once pulled up, stayed in place whilst I danced the night away.

I absolutely loved the peek-a-boo heart panel which peeked out from underneath my skirt. I was also really impressed that I managed to wear them for a whole evening without laddering them. If tights are a sandcastle, my nails, even when cut short are the ocean ready to destroy them! Even at my most gentle I seem to find a way to poke a finger through the fabric so was incredibly happy to get into them and pull them up whilst keeping them intact!

I'm really looking forward to trying out some other patterns in the range and just might have found the leg wear holy grail!

Until next time,

You Never Can Tell - Summer Fun with Pulp Fiction at Backyard Cinema in Camden.

Last week I was lucky enough to spend a sunny Summer evening in Camden Lock courtesy of Backyard Cinema. The opening night was a bit of a trial run, with brands BrewDog, Honest Burgers and Cupcakes and Shhht on hand to keep the excitement flowing.

Long Haired Lady - Beautiful French Combs And Other Hair Accessories From Stone Bridge Hair.

I love trying out new things with my hair, so was really excited to receive a box of incredible hair accessories from the lovely people behind Stone Bridge. They are wonderful at finding the perfect accessories for your specific hair type and even have a form on their website to tell them about your hair. After sending them mine, I opened a box to find two sets of Round Edge Combs alongside a stunning Trientale Large Barrette and could not wait to try them out on myself.

Tales From The Bottom Of The Tea (Cup) - Getting Back On The Fitness Track With Skinny Love Detox Tea.

Over the last month, a combination of hot weather and severe iron and vitamin d deficiencies have led to a dramatic decline in the amount I've been exercising. My running has come to a quite literal standstill, and I've been finding it difficult to even push myself to go on long walks over the hilly heath. It's been frustrating as I tend to do my best thinking whilst in the middle of a run, and have found myself taking lots of over the counter vitamin supplements, but without seeing any real difference.

Thrown Out of the Bar - Fancy Dress Fun with the Saloon Girl Costume from Jokers Masquerade.

Plus Size Saloon Girl Fancy Dress Costume from Joker's Masquerade - £35.49
I have never needed any real encouragement to dress up so when I was given an opportunity to choose a fancy dress costume from Joker's Masquerade, I jumped at the chance. With such a large on-line inventory devoted purely to plus size fancy dress, I felt spoilt for choice but eventually decided on the plus size saloon girl outfit as I'm a sucker for anything with a touch of cabaret.

Getting With The Programme - An Evening In Norwich With The Blogger Programme.

A few weeks ago I received an invite from The Blogger Program to see if I wanted to attend an event they were hosting in Norwich. I checked the price of train tickets as it sounded like fun, and without really thinking about the two hour journey there and back, booked them on a bit of a whim.

Cat Claws - Tales From The Bottom Of The Wardrobe.

Recently I mentioned that during a huge wardrobe clear out, I came across three dresses which had been relegated to the bottom of my wardrobe for various reasons. This amazing 80s vintage peplum  dress was the second one I found, and I cannot believe it's been left unworn for such a long time!

Cat Ears Fascinator: Urban Outfitters.
Custom Cat Ears Necklace: Bette Noire.
Bracelet: Vintage.
Dress: Vintage.
Leggings: F&F.
Shoes: Yours Clothing.

Although it's not my usual style, it's a fun change and is definitely something I'd wear out to a club. Although I can understand why this dress did get packed away, I'm glad that I've rediscovered it.

Until next time,
