plus size lbd
It can be spooky season all year round if you believe hard enough, and I knew when I saw this dress on the ASOS website, it'd be one of those "everyday but make it witchy" dreams that I'd be able to live in whatever the time of year. Black, soft, drapey and linen were all words I was happy to see, and after retrying three times to get the size correct on my bust (go up by two if you're large busted), I finally had what might be my favourite LBD of all time.

When I saw this dress on the Boohoo website, I knew it had to be mine. The short length and floaty sleeves were already two big pluses, but it was the front split which really caught my attention. I knew that it wasn't going to be as subtle on me as it was in the product picture, but I don't think there's much difference between flashing a bit of bra or showing off a lace or mesh insert.
The sun is shining and the weather is sweet. There may still be a chill in the air, but with the daffodils in full bloom and Easter on the horizon, spring is so close you can almost touch it. I often find this seasonal transition the most difficult one to weather in terms of my wardrobe. I end up in lots of layers so that it's easy to peel things off as the temperature fluctuates, and have been recycling my favourite gems from AW collections with lighter fabrics.
One such item is this embellished cuff dress from F&F. I was pretty much in love with all of their AW15 collection, and adored the simplicity of this easy to wear piece. The showiness of the sparkle filled cuffs are off set by the high neck and cut out, whilst the mesh sleeves make it a great breathable item as we get closer to the much fabled warmer weather.
It's a dress which doesn't need much in the way of accessories, so I teamed it with some trusty Simply Be tights and my favourite ankle boots from the Lorraine Kelly range at JD Williams. As someone who is 100% useless in heels, I cannot even begin to explain how comfy and easy to walk in they are - even for this clumsy, serial tripper upper!

There's no denying that Wednesday Addams has always been one of my style icons so it was love at first site when I first came across the Crochet Collar Fit and Flare Dress from Scarlett & Jo.
I'm a big fan of the skater dress shape - it always feels like a toned down version of the 50s silhouette to me, whilst remaining something easy to wear and perfect for the everyday. The white crochet collar is stunning, with a sparkling pearl detail making the dress feel very special indeed.
It's such an easy to wear dress, with a stretchy finish and 3/4 length sleeves. The nature of it also makes it's great for most occasions - it's just as much at home as a smart-casual option as it is lazy, weekend cinema date.
Best of all, like all of their dresses, it goes up to a UK size 32. Scarlett & Jo have recently had a major revamp which includes the launch of a new website with their clothes shown on plus size women of all sizes to get a real feel for how the items sit. It's such a revolutionary concept, and one which has been met with strong applause. If you also want to get a sneaky 10% off your orders, simply join up to their club here with the discount automatically applied at discount. Perfect for treating yourself to a sneaky Christmas gift or a new dress for the New Year.

The party season has officially started, and with that comes the search for the perfect outfit to sparkle in amongst the tinsel. High street heroes F&F have once again come out with the perfect partywear range, and I was delighted when an early Christmas parcel arrived filled with lots of Christmas cheer.
I'd been eyeing up the stunning F&F Metallic Foil V Back Dress for a while, but kept removing it from my basket as I wasn't sure the light gold shade would suit my pale, cool tinted skin. But I loved the shape and shimmer, which is why I squeaked with happiness upon receiving it's rock and roll sister in the form of the F&F Black Sparkle V Back Dress.
The dress itself is the stuff of dreams. Available up to a UK 22, it's the perfect LBD with a bit of festive sparkle. It shimmers under the light, has a cute V-back detail and pulls in with an elasticated waist meaning you can eat those extra mince pies comfortably!
The dress was teamed with a F&F Foil Gem Collar (£10) which is currently not available on the website. The F&F Faux Fur Panel Cross-Body Bag (£14) completed the look. The bag is the perfect size for all you night out essentials, and offers a luxe but fun finish to your outfit.
