It's A Nice Day For A White Wedding - Plus Size Occasion Wear

The sun is out, daffodils are blooming and that can only mean one thing - Spring is almost here, and with it comes the start of wedding season! When looking for the perfect dress for a special occasion, there are a few places I visit first depending on my budget. And with that in mind, I thought I'd put together a list of some of my favourite items for anyone who likes to start their shopping early.

If the budget is out the window, Navabi are my first port of call. With their designer lines, tailored pieces and gorgeous materials, the sell the perfect investment pieces which can be brought out year after year.

The Samoon Sequin Cocktail Dress (left - £84, was £120) would be a fantastic dress for someone in the bridal party. The A-line cut makes the dress both comfy and swirly, whilst the shimmering sequins really bring the glamour.

Another alternative is this Manon Baptiste Wrap Over Fit And Flare Dress (right - £109, was £136). Available in a range of colours, this classic shape is one which will forever remain timeless. Made from a light mesh with wide, sheer sleeves, it's an easy dress to accessorise with a simple, cute clutch and heels.

At the other end of the budget spectrum Quiz Clothing are the heroes we need with their fantastic range of Plus size occasion wear.

This Curve Navy And Pink Floral Dip Hem Dress (left - £34.99) is a real statement dress with a stunning dip hem to the back and mesh feature panels. It'd be perfect teamed with this adorable Curve Pink Crop Jacket (right - £19.99) which is the perfect finishing touch for a church wedding or for just keeping off that evening Spring chill.

Simply Be and ASOS are my other two faithfuls, both great for trend led fast fashion, and also useful for their credit / Klarna pay later schemes when needed.

Both of these Simply Be dresses are from the Chi Chi London range, and whilst both very different, would both be at home for a special occasion. The Chi Chi London Floral Bardot Dress (left - £68) is a real show stopper, with a fit and flare style, bold print and dip hem. The Chi Chi London Fit & Flare Lace Dress (right - £70) is more understated with it's gold lace set against a deep blue, but is none the less a real beauty of a gown.

(c) ASOS
From ASOS, this Virgos Lounge Plus julisa embellished wrap midi dress in mustard (left - £135) screams summer with the bead and sequin embellishment being a total dream. If you're looking for something a little more rock and roll inspired, how about this Flounce London Plus maxi dress with split in zig zag pattern (right - £60) for something a bit different? It even has a press stud closure on the bust which is great if like me, you have a larger chest.

Don't forget to let me know which was your favourite, and what special ocassion you have coming up that you might need a dress for!

Until next time,
