When I first stumbled across new brand Freedom Of Figure, I absolutely loved their concept. It was simple - a series of well designed wardrobe staples designed to be genuinely free size. With many items fitting between a UK 8 - 24 I was really intruiged by their clever cuts and use of fabric and absolutely jumped at the chance to wriggle myself into one and put it through it's paces!

Stay Young, Go Dancing - SS16 from Primark

SS16 from Primark brings boho floral prints, cute denim and lots of chevron patterns and textures.Mustard accents, double denim and mixed prints all feature heavily, with 70s style maxi dresses offering a dreamier approach to the warmer months. There was a selection of soft pink hues blushing against floaty fabrics and pleated styles, with neutral shades such as olive and khaki.

Getting Ready For The Sun with Cotswold Outdoor

With a visit to the Lake District very much on my mind, I've been on the look out for some sensible, hard wearing items to ensure I stay dry and cosy whilst walking over the hilly terrain. Sensible shoes and rain-friendly fabrics have been a must, so it was only natural that I looked to speciality retailers such as Cotswold Outdoor.

Being quite busty has made it difficult in the past to find garments which fit comfortably, but I've learned to look past the labels and investigate the larger sizes offered to men. Indeed a quick peek in the men's clothing department pulled up all sorts of weather ready options, with some going up to a 5XL.

The Jack Wolfskin Men's Colourburst Jacket (from £85) was one such item which went up to a 5XL, and is offered in a range of colours including bright red and green. Designed to be the perfect hiking jacket, it's both light and waterproof and takes up as much space in your bag as a 0.75 litre water bottle. It comes with a hood, pockets and even a sack to help stuff it into your bag when not in use.

Women's Proterra Gore-Tex Shoe - Was £110, now £55

Back in the woman's section, I came across these Women's Proterra Gore-Tex Shoe (currently on sale for £55). These are perfect for heading out on long walks as they are both waterproof and lightweight with something called the "Gore-Tex Connect Fit waterproof membrane" to mould around your feet and keep them protected.

Women's Raffia Hat - £20

A hat is always a good bet when going away for the summer, especially one with a brim to protect your skin. The Women's Raffia Hat (£20) is a great option made from natural palm fibre which ensures the original shape will be kept no matter how much your hat gets squashed. Whether you're laying on a beach or wandering through the countryside, this is the perfect hat to throw on top of your luggage.
