The Look Of Love - Rockabilly Frames and Vintage Styled Eyewear from Specspost.

Recently I was approached by Specspost to see if I might be interested in trying out a pair of their frames. Having fallen in love with a selection of vintage inspired styles, I couldn't wait to get my hands on them!

With prescription filled frames available on the Specspost site from as little as £9, this fledgling online business is fighting fit against their high street rivals. Having existed for just over a year, their selection is constantly growing and they are about to launch a new in-house range of wooden frames called "Project Oaken Shield".

Buying glasses from them is really simple - you just need to know your prescription which your optician should give you when your eyes are tested, even if you don't buy their glasses. Then you simply choose your frames and lenses and your glasses will magically wing their way to you in the post. They've even made a handy video tutorial here to make things even more simple!

Being a 50s magpie, I was instantly drawn to the Ruby & Rose range of frames which had lots of fun colourways in a slight catseye shape.

Ruby & Rose Rockabilly. (£28.99 including standard lenses - link.)

The Ruby & Rose Rockabilly frame is a classic black frame with a transparent detail. They are the perfect everyday pair for anyone who likes to rock a bit of vintage, with the simply colourway and 50s shape both smart and stylish. Whether worn with a suit or your favourite band t-shirt, these glasses make a style statement whatever the occasion.

Ruby & Rose Time For Tea. (£28.99 including standard lenses - link.)

The Ruby & Rose Time For Tea is a classic black frame with an inner milky brown detail. Again the frames are smart enough for an office wardrobe, but the hint of colour makes them a little more eye-catching. These are perfect for wearing whilst daydreaming, especially when teamed with straw hats and tea dresses in the sunshine.

Ruby & Rose Vintage Vixen. (£28.99 including standard lenses - link.)

Although I loved all of them, the Ruby & Rose Vintage Vixen frames were my favourite and definitely the most fun. The classic black is rimmed with a soft rose pink and is the frame of choice for all things fun. These will be the ones I pull out when I'm wearing floaty petticoats under circle skirts or splitting a milkshake with Lord Dicely

You can view the entire range of frames by visiting the website here, and fall in love with your perfect pair!

Until next time,
