About a year ago, I reviewed this fantastic Manon Baptist dress from Navabi and was so excited when they dropped this red and black check variant as part of their Autumn Winter range. When it arrived at my door as a gift from the brand, I could have exploded with happiness. As a 90s child, it's the greebo / grunge dress of my dreams, and perfect as we step into the colder weather during the latter part of autumn.
So first things first, whilst the dress was sent by Navabi as a gift, my excitement and love for it is genuine. From the 100% cotton flannel which will keep me warm and toasty in the winter, to the stunning way the dress is cut with the cute matching fabric tie belt at the waist, this dress is worth every penny. It's an investment piece for sure at £120, but one which will wear well and forever stay a classic wardrobe staple.

I always find red check to be such an iconic yet rebellious print, probably because it puts me in mind of how the punk movement re-appropriated plaid. But whether Vivienne Westwood Red or Cher Horowitz yellow, it's definitely a style which is here to stay and my 90s girl heart couldn't be happier.
Until next time,
