The Bésame Cashmere Powder Signature Compact is something which I've been meaning to blog about for months. It is always with me in my handbag, serving as both a skin saving pick-me up and shiny conversation starter,
I first came across the Bésame brand when I was brought one of their stunning red lipsticks as a gift. As a girl who loves her vintage repro, it was love at first sight! The packaging was divine, but so was the product inside.
I'd found it difficult to source their cosmetics in the UK, so was utterly thrilled when I discovered that the Vintage Hair Lounge Emporium were selling it in their online shop, and just had to get my red tipped mitts on the Cashmere Powder Signature Compact.
The product arrived swiftly, and was packaged in the most fantastic way. The box opened up to reveal the compact in a red velvet pouch with the signature gold Bésame tag, and is the perfect thing for keeping it safe in your handbag.
I ordered it in the palest shade (porcelain) which is an ivory white colour. It's a little too pale for me to use all over as a setting powder (I'd probably need the next one down which in light), however it is the best highlighter I have ever used. The tiny powder sponge which comes in the compact is perfect for swiping a line of powder across your cheekbones, and I use a slim eyeshadow brush to highlight underneath my eyebrowns and above my cupids bow. It catches the light perfectly, and feels silky and non-drying against my dry and difficult skin.
Although the compact itself is quite pricey, the stunning mirrored masterpiece can be filled with infinity more affordable powder compact refills. And the compact itself is worth investing in, as it's impossible to use it without feeling like a silver screen siren!
Until next time,
Diana xx

How small is it exactly? I'd appreciate the reply. thanks love the pics by the way.
ReplyDeleteIt's really quite small (the first pic should give you more of an idea), but the sad thing is they have stopped making them and the refills have become like gold dust to replace so it may be worth waiting for what they bring out to replace it.
ReplyDeleteYou are so lovely, Lady! I'm in love!
ReplyDeleteYou are so kind! xox
