Berry Good

These photos do not do this adorable H&M+ dress any justice. I had planned on shooting a few different looks on the day I photographed it, but it was so hot, sweaty and humid in London that I felt like I needed a second shower about ten minutes into being dressed. That's why my hair has turned into fluff, and my face has the look of "Can we stop now please?" This ended up being the only outfit photographed, and looking back on these images I am SO glad that I didn't continue! I don't really get on well with the heat, and am very much an AW girl through and through!

That said, this dress was a total sale bargain and I absolutely love it. Reduced from £24.99 to just £12, I couldn't resist it as it was in one of my favourite colours and also my favourite skater shape. It's a little big on me, but that simply means it'll be a dress to wear when I'm looking for something comfy. Whether that is travelling, shooting or just running errands, it'll end up being one of those wardrobe staples. As it gets colder, I'll simply throw on a chunky black knit and it's an easy but cute outfit to keep out the chill.

I added the suspender tights and choker for a touch of 90s nostalgia which at the moment I am all about. I seem to be turning into the person teenage me wished they could be, so am loving all the vampy reds and burnt oranges as we step ever closer to autumn. I have sized up in the tights (they are to fit a UK 26 - 32) and the fit is almost spot on. Certainly I won't be doing the dreaded tights shuffle dance in them, which in itself makes them the best find ever!
