All I Want For Christmas - Gift Guide 2017

It's beginning to feel a lot like Christmas, and if you're anything like me, you're currently staring at a list of names you need to buy things for with a look of mild panic. I've been trying to get ahead of the Christmas shopping this year and spreading it over a few months, but November always seems to be the time when the best deals hit. So I've put together a few categories - ideas for beauty, fashion, and some quirky gifts below. Please note that where possible the links are affiliate links, but none of them are sponsored and are all genuine recommendations. Good luck with your shopping, and I hope that this gives you some festive inspiration!

Beauty Gift Ideas.
Since Boots started doing their now legendary 3 for 2 deals in the run up to Christmas, they've earned a soft spot in my heart. They have become my go to for stocking gifts, but have really managed to secure some brilliant deals this year with gifts for under the tree. This Let's Glow Out kit from Soap and Glory (£25) is a brilliant package for anyone who loves getting ready to go out as much as the going out itself! Containing five items, it comes complete with Righteous Butter Body Shimmer Cream, Original Pink Body Spray, Supercat Liquid Eyeliner in black, Thick & Fast HD Mascara in black and a limited edition Sexy Mother Pucker lip gloss in the shade Pink Stardust.

Up next is the Too Faced Under The Kissletoe make up gift set from Debenhams (£22). The set contains four different finishes, with a Melted Matte in Drop Dead Red, Melted Latex in Hopeless Romantic, Melted Lipsticks in Chihuahua and Melted Matte in Chocolate Honey. Designed to give an intense, high impact saturated colour, the long wear forumula is applied with the bottle's angled applicator allowing for precise work with no brush or liner needed.

Since discovering Makeup Revolution's incredible baked highlighters in Superdrug, I have been an avid fan of the brand. Often offering dupes for high end lines, they create purse friendly, pigment heavy palettes which are genuinely incredible. This year they are offering the Makeup Revolution Ultimate Pro Collection 2017 (currently on sale for £25, was £35) which contains a brilliant mixture of palettes and brushes. With it you'll get a duo baked highlighter, an eyebrow kit, an eye primer, a lip palette, a Pro HD eye brush, Pro HD contour brush, Pro HD flat eye brush and a Revolution Redemption Palette.
I was so excited when Simply Be started to stock Pixi as I am a huge fan of their skin care range - especially their Rose Flash Balm! But it was their Pixi Mesmerizing Mineral Palette in Copper Peach (£15) which really caught my eyes, with the six gemstone inspired shades blending together perfectly. I actually couldn't resist picking this up for myself, and the colours blend like a dream and is the perfect size to fit into my makeup bag.

Fashion Gift Ideas.

If you're looking for a Christmas gift which will serve you well at New Year, then look no further than this stunning Maya Curve Emebellished Bodycon Dress from Simply Be (£150). The perfect flapper dress, this stunning 20s style is filled with shimmying sequined embellishments and delicate feathers on the skirt.

Every party season needs an epic pair of heels, and these ASOS SWALLOW Wide Fit Heels (£28) come in a versatile champagne gold shade. Made with a wide fit from a faux leather, they are furnished with a 3" heel, ankle strap fastening and metallic finish.

If you want to sparkle like a diamond, this LIMITED COLLECTION Black Cold Shoulder Wrap Dress With Holographic Glitter from Yours Clothing (£39.99) is the one for you. Perfect for the party season, the glittery fabric just screams festive fun and the faux wrap / skater shape ensure you can eat as many mince pies as you like without feeling uncomfortable.
If you're looking for a pretty accessory, this Star Sign clutch from JD Williams (£25) is an absolute beauty. The perfect way to add some shimmer to a LBD, if anyone is looking for some gift inspo for me this year, I'd be very happy to find this under my tree!

Quirky Gift Ideas.

As someone who is totally useless at knitting, the Stitch & Story Pompom Hat Knitting Kit (£28) rocked my world. Designed for even the most rubbish of crafters, it came with all of the tools and some easy to follow instructions which actually resulted in me creating a real life hat. I've since made another and a matching scarf as a gift, so it's s brilliant starter pack to learn the basics and get some confidence.

Most people like gin, and a lot of people like unicorns so for a large cross section of the population, the Firebox Unicorn Tears Gin Liqueur Miniature (£8.99) is the perfect gift. Whilst they do a full size bottle here (and a Phoenix Tears Spiced Rum equivalent), the double measure miniature is the perfect, shimmery stocking filler or Secret Santa gift.

Love them or hate them, there's no denying that brussel sprouts are a Christmas institution. So for those who are maybe in the latter category, these Boozy Brussels with Craft Gin from I Want One Of Those (£9.99) might just be the thing to save Christmas! The beautifully presented set holds eight hand made sprouts - solid chocolate balls decorated with green tinged white chocolate and a gin infused filling. Finally a sprout I can get excited about!

There was no way this post was going to be complete without at least one dinosaur related item, and this T-Rex Dinosaur lamp from Firebox (£29.99) is just the cutest. This dinomite cute face emits a soft orange glow, and the origami inspired exterior is a thing of beauty. We have the Diplodocus version in our bedroom, and he makes for the cutest reading light ever created.

Until next time,

Diana x ❤ x
