When a company gets in touch with you, and their products encompass plants, caffeine and stationary, you know that it's going to be a match made amongst the stars. So when Old English Prints got in touch with their unique brand of hand lettered stationary, giftware and enamel pins, I jumped at the chance to road test some of their beautiful products. And being a sucker for both plants and planning, I couldn't wait for a box filled with goodies to arrive.
If you follow me on Instagram, you know that I have a real love for plants and am currently trying to grow a set of Monstera plants from seeds. Fun fact - they don't get their split leaves until they are a few growth cycles in which is why the one below looks like a normal leaf rather than a cheeseplant leaf. That said, I have become obsessed with them, so was so happy when I discovered that Old English Prints carry an entire Monstera range, including the most adorable pin I've ever seen.
From their Monstera range, I was sent a beautiful mug, coaster and monochrome print. The mug and coaster duo are the perfect way to enjoy a caffeine pick me up at your desk. The 10oz mug is made from a high quality ceramic which are both dishwasher and microwave safe, whilst the matching coaster is made from a hard high gloss front with cork backing.
The monochrome hand lettered monstera plant print is a thing of beauty. Simple and stylish, it's the perfect finishing touch to any room and is printed on thick 220gsm archival matte paper with crisp precision from fade resistant inks. I was sent the 8x10" version which was the perfect size for my tiny office space, but it's also available in both a4 and a3 options too for those wanting something a little bit bigger.
The other two products sent over were perfect for anyone living that #freelancelife. Or indeed, anyone who appreciates a chilled out Sunday sipping hot tea in pjs whilst making plans for the rest of the week. The first was this Everything Is Better In Pyjamas mug which proudly displays the freelancer's mantra. The mug is made from enamel and holds 9oz of caffeinated goodness - perfect for getting your morning kick started the right way!
The other item was probably the most useful - a lovely black and pearlescent A5 planner which cann be dipped in and out of thanks to it's dateless nature. The A5 size makes it wonderful for tossing into a bag, and with inner pages containing a daily checklist and a section for notes at the bottom. The cover is simple and stylish, with a pearlescecnt foil embossed onto a black 350gsm card cover. With 248 pages, it should last a good long while too!
This was my first time coming across Old English Prints, and I have to say, I'm super impressed! Whether you're looking for a gift, some art or some super cute kitchen ware, give them a click and have a look around.
Until next time,
