Feeling Blue with Joanie Clothing, Simply Be, ASOS Curve and Tatty Devine

Since my friend Kat cut in my fringe about a month or so ago, I've felt so much more like myself again, and have definitely embraced the inner rock and roller who I always wanted to be! This is the first outfit post I've managed to scrape together in FOREVER, partly because I've been slowly rediscovering what my style is again, and partly because I've been buried with shoots and edits. I've got an exhibition opening at the end of May which I'm really excited about, but that along with freelance work is sucking all of my time into a giant black hole. I'm not going to complain though - it's nice to have creative things on the go which are coming together, but I'm hopeful that my blogging schedule will be a bit more regular again soon. I've got a few bits shot and some more which I'm hoping to do this weekend, so if you're still with me and reading this, thank you for sticking around!

Va Va Boom! A Valentines Wishlist From A Camera Loving Nerd

With Valentines Day just around the corner, my thoughts have been turning to how thankful I am for the people in my life who I love dearly. Top of that list is obviously my partner in crime Lord Dicely, who aside from being my boyfriend has also turned into an unwitting patron of the arts and my biggest professional cheerleader over the past five years. As a freelance photographer, any utensils to help with the creative process are right up there in the "things I love unquestionably" category, so cameras and related paraphernalia all get a free pass. I was very fortunate that my boyfriend did actually buy me a new camera for our anniversary a few years ago. It was an incredible gesture, because not only was it a huge investment in me, it was also a very strong showing that he really believed in me and my at times frustrating career path. My final pick are these super cute camera necklaces from Ladybird Likes who I previously wrote about here. The necklaces cost £14 each, and are laser cut from wood. Perfect for anyone with a passing interest in photography or vintage kitsch, the designs range from sturdy Polaroids to Lubitels and everything in-between.

Mis-shapes, Mistakes, Misfits - when good vintage goes bad.

I picked up this vintage dress a few weeks ago, at the same time I brought this one. I desperately wanted to make it work as a Summer wardrobe staple but no matter what I put with it, nothing seemed to quite look right. I think a huge part of the problem is that my breasts are bring the pockets up too high which then throws off the shape of the rest of the dress. It's a shame as it's a cute print, but I'm not sure if this dress will see anything more exciting than my local supermarket.
