Since my friend Kat cut in my fringe about a month or so ago, I've felt so much more like myself again, and have definitely embraced the inner rock and roller who I always wanted to be! This is the first outfit post I've managed to scrape together in FOREVER, partly because I've been slowly rediscovering what my style is again, and partly because I've been buried with shoots and edits. I've got an exhibition opening at the end of May which I'm really excited about, but that along with freelance work is sucking all of my time into a giant black hole. I'm not going to complain though - it's nice to have creative things on the go which are coming together, but I'm hopeful that my blogging schedule will be a bit more regular again soon. I've got a few bits shot and some more which I'm hoping to do this weekend, so if you're still with me and reading this, thank you for sticking around!
I feel like I've never been that great at casual dressing, and had nothing in my style repertoire between pyjamas and going "out out". But I'm now embracing the cute tee / skirt / jeans look, as it's nice to feel comfy, but also nice to feel nice.

I'm such a sucker for Joanie tee - they are so soft and have such a lovely oversized fit to them and this one has been washed frequently for a good two years and still looks as new. The only thing I wish I had done with this outfit was sized up with the skirt. I'm used to ASOS coming up quite large on me, so sized down on this one and it digs in slightly at the waist. Not enough to make me return it, but I was definitely in-between sizes on this one. It's such a cute skirt though - the sort of item which can easily be dressed up with a shirt or down with a tee depending on where you're going with it. It's such a nice, light material too, so will be great for when we move into summer.
