Rock Around The Clock - Wooden Watches from JORD

A good watch is more than just a timepiece - it's a conversation starter too. And that's exactly what the beautiful wooden watches from JORD do - they spark interest with their unique yet classical design.

Recently I was lucky enough to be sent the 94A Dark Sandalwood design from JORD, and it was love at first sight. Arriving in a beautiful wooden crate, the natural dark sandalwood is a stunning colour and a very unisex design. With a scratch resistant mineral glass covering the face, the watch is splash proof and built to last with each watch having a one year warranty.

In their own words, the brand explain that they "are focused on creating timepieces that are modelled after a modern lifestyle, valuing sustainability, efficiency, and experiential living." The 94A Dark Sandalwood really embodies that, with the double locking fold-over clasp keeping your watch in place even when you're running about.

Mens Wood Watches The presentation of the watch is just as wonderful as it's design, arriving on it's own cushioned pillow. It's kept safely inside a wooden case engraved with the JORD logo, which makes it the perfect gift for when you want to commemorate a special occasion.

I am quite partial to a chunky watch design, but the range from JORD is so huge that it has many styles for those who prefer something of a more dainty option. The more slimline designs can be found under their women's section here, but if like me you prefer something a bit heavier on your wrist, check out the beauties from the men's range here.

The 94A design comes in at $159 (or just under £106) so whilst not an inexpensive purchase, it's still at the more affordable end of a luxury item. The heaviness of it also makes it feel so much more impressive on the wrist, with it's simple, chic design offering the classic finishing touch to any outfit.

If you're looking for a last minute Christmas gift, I don't think anyone would be disappointed to find one of these in their stocking!

Click Flash - Cara Camera Across Body Bag from Accessorize

So imagine you're a handbag loving photographer, and you stumble across the most incredible camera shaped design ever made. That's what happened to me recently when I walked past the window of Camden's Accessorize. I quite literally stopped in my tracks, gasped and handed over my credit card without question. Never had I needed to purchase something so badly in my entire life!

Whilst I'm a lover of frivolity, I try to avoid spending money on silly things for the most part but this bag was too adorable to pass up. Called the Cara Camera Bag, the cross body design is comfy and easy to wear. It's small enough to be the perfect size for crowded places, but big enough for your phone, purse and your key make-up essentials.

Whilst being utterly ridiculous, I cannot look at it without smiling. The soft colour palette make it a neutral choice for most outfits, and it opens and closes easily with a simply popper.

Have I mentioned how much I love this bag? Expect to see it glued to my side all Summer long!

Some Like It Hot - The Beautiful "Caliente" Ruby & Silver Ring from Harry Fay

My taste in accessories has always been a little on the eclectic side, with a jewellery box filled with vintage treasures, perspex kitsch and sparkling gems. However one thing has always remained constant - I love anything which has a slight teardrop or marquise shape to it so instantly fell in love with the gorgeous ring collection from Harry Fay.

Very much a family business, each Harry Fay product is hand-crafted to the highest standards to ensure the perfect finish and sparkle. When asked if I would like to be sent an item, it was the Caliente silver ring which caught my eye. How cute is the heart shaped box which it arrived in?

The Caliente ring (£29) is a stunning sterling silver ring with a darling centrepiece ruby surrounded by two round cubic zirconias. To me it felt like an incredibly vintage inspired style, with the pink-red gem sparkling thanks to it's marquise cut.

Caliente is the Spanish word for hot, and it's certainly the perfect name for the flame coloured creation. The ruby measures approximately 6 x 12mm, and along with the four cubic zirconias and it's four claw setting, the ring is the perfect size for a classic styled sparkle.

In addition to the stunning range of engagement rings and wedding bands, Harry Fay also design and sell necklaces, earrings, bracelets and more. There is also a dapper collection of men's silver rings on the site, which go right up to a Z+3 size for the perfect fit.

You think I would have learnt by now to stop looking up things I love. I need a dinosaur / kitten / robot / teacup / Bowie blocker on every auction site and independent retailer for my own good. My smoking credit card and creaking jewellery storage both hate me, yet I couldn't resist the charms of this delightful camera necklace from Ladybird Loves.

Can we just take a second too appreciate the super cute packaging?

I needed this necklace like I needed paper shoes, but it was brought as a result of a late night editing session. When your eyes have been staring at variants of the same thing for hours upon end, the danger is to break things up with a little online window shopping. A dangerous folly indeed as armed with a cup of tea and a Paypal account, I found myself throwing all my favourite things into the search box of my new found obsession, Not On The High Street. There were so many gorgeous creations dancing before my almost delirious, tired editing eyes, but it was the Ladybird Likes camera necklace which actually made me swoon.

Now that it's arrived, it's already been worn several times so I'm happy that it was an impulse buy which paid off. The range are all wood based and laser cut, and aside from cameras, it contains all manner of robots, pin-ups and other pieces of super cuteness.
