Three Times A Lady - One Dress, Three Looks - Ready For Summer With Curvissa

Multicoloured prints are one of my all time faves as their large colour palette make them so versatile. Anything which transitions with the help of a few accessories is perfect for the holiday suitcase, so when Curvissa got in touch to see if I'd be interested in getting involved with a city break themed styling challenge, I jumped at the chance.

I was kindly sent this Sheego Sleeveless Print Dress from Curvissa, which is the dress of dreams for any sunshine filled vacation. Available up to a UK size 32, the gorgeous, swirling print around the high neckline had a bit of a 60s feel which of course is right up my street.

Because of the very column like shape to the dress, I made the decision to go up two sizes. My bust and hips and not normally this sort of style's best friend, but getting a larger dress allowed it to skim my curves rather than feel tight and stretched out. It also felt light and airy, and perfect for exploring somewhere new - a definite 5 out of 5 for a capsule holiday wardrobe!

As a suitcase staple, my first instinct was to keep the dress cute. Pink shoes and an oversized flower had me ready for a restaurant, whilst my biker boots and jacket toughened up the whole look for a trip to a bar, or for riding on the back of a Vespa! My final look was a simple denim jacket for sight seeing, with the blue in the pattern making it the perfect match for soft denim shades. If I'd had one to hand, I would have totally tied a light denim shirt around my waist for a fourth look with a hint of grunge.

Curvissa currently have their holiday shop live on their site, which has you covered for everything from beachwear to footwear! They are also running an exciting competition which could have you winning a trip to New York, which you can enter here! The trip includes

★ Return flights for two from the UK to New York City
★ Luxury private return airport transfers
★ 4 nights’ accommodation at the 4* Sanctuary Hotel, New York City with breakfast
★ £400 spending money
★ 2 x tickets to a catwalk show at Full Figured Fashion Week 2016

We Met By A Trick Of Fate, French Navy My Sailor Mate.

Every Easter, Lord Dicely becomes Howard The Easter Bunny and organises a super cute Easter hunt in our living room. Because both of us were doing various types of physical training, we had agreed to not get each other much in the way of chocolate and I was so excited to find this beautiful sailor dress waiting for me at the end of the trail.

Electric Avenue - 5k Fundraising with Electric Run London.

After four months of training, last Saturday finally saw Miranda and I tackle the 5k Electric Run for Breast Cancer Care.

The event which took place at Wembley Park was a rave like event filled with LED lights, UV paint and the brightest tutus this side of London. The event was sold as more of an "experience" than a sporting event, with the runners making up part of the lit up landscape. It was meant to feature "lands of light and sound that transport the participant into an electric wonderland" but I felt it failed to deliver on it's fully immersive experience. It was a nice course with a fun atmosphere, but parts of the run failed to have any music and large parts of the track seemed to rely solely on what the participants were wearing and carrying.

Click Flash - Falling in love with Ladybird Likes.

You think I would have learnt by now to stop looking up things I love. I need a dinosaur / kitten / robot / teacup / Bowie blocker on every auction site and independent retailer for my own good. My smoking credit card and creaking jewellery storage both hate me, yet I couldn't resist the charms of this delightful camera necklace from Ladybird Loves.

Can we just take a second too appreciate the super cute packaging?
 .

I needed this necklace like I needed paper shoes, but it was brought as a result of a late night editing session. When your eyes have been staring at variants of the same thing for hours upon end, the danger is to break things up with a little online window shopping. A dangerous folly indeed as armed with a cup of tea and a Paypal account, I found myself throwing all my favourite things into the search box of my new found obsession, Not On The High Street. There were so many gorgeous creations dancing before my almost delirious, tired editing eyes, but it was the Ladybird Likes camera necklace which actually made me swoon.

Now that it's arrived, it's already been worn several times so I'm happy that it was an impulse buy which paid off. The range are all wood based and laser cut, and aside from cameras, it contains all manner of robots, pin-ups and other pieces of super cuteness.

You can view the whole range here and fall in love just like I did!

Until next time,

Diana xx
