The second the Collectif SS17 lookbook dropped in my inbox, I felt like a kid at Christmas mentally circling all the things I wanted to get my repro loving hands on. Amongst all the stunning prints and beautiful styles on show, the Lanai Hibiscus Doll Dress really stood out and I was so happy that the print came on my favourite dress shape, the trusty Dolores.

If you're looking for a selection of the most perfect party dresses, Simply Be have recently been knocking it out of the park. It was love at first sight when I first spotted this floral print tea dress on the site, and I could see myself wearing it for a variety of both smart and casual occasions. That's the great thing about the classic tea dress - they completely transform depending on whether you're pairing them with pumps or heels!
With Valentines Day just around the corner, it's hard to ignore the displays filled with heart prints and roses. But who says you can't treat yourself, whether loved up or not? After all, it was the great and wise RuPaul Charles who said “If you don't love yourself, how in the hell you gonna love somebody else?”
F&F are always fantastic for strong prints at affordable prices, and have a selection of beautiful dresses perfect for date night or some galentines fun.
The Mixed Print Dress in particular gave me cartoon heart eyes when looking at it, as it's just the right side of casual for being the perfect cute day to night date dress. The cross body bag is also a steal at just £10, whilst the floral print on the AX Paris design is a fantastic choice for any Summer weddings on the horizon,
If you want something perfect for a cosy night in, then look no further than these heart print beauties from HJ Hall Socks. Designed to stay up all day without leaving marks or restricting circulation, they'll keep you warm in winter and cool in summer thanks to their fine wool fibre design. They're so cute, and perfect for a night in on the sofa with a movie.

Until next time,
I need to start this blog post by saying two things - firstly, I am so in love with the sleeves and print on this dress from F&F. Secondly, I was so ill when I took these photos, and didn't realise just how awful I looked until I got them up on my screen. My face doesn't do this dress justice at all! Cold germs aside, this "Oriental Floral Print Jersey Dress" seemed to herald the unofficial start of Autumn for me, with the rusty orange set against turquoise switching something on in my brain.
I'll be the first to admit that I've been impatient about Autumn starting. The colder weather we've been experiencing have made me long for big piles of crunchy red leaves, so when I wore this dress out over the bank holiday weekend, I was so excited to finally pull out my vintage green cape. That's normally the first sign that Autumn has arrived for me, officially or not! But whilst I could talk about the merits of capes for hours, I want to instead write about the stunning shape and print of this dress It's incredibly pretty and perfect if you have a larger chest like I do.
This dress was chosen for me to review, and I felt like the person responsible had really nailed my tastes. I'm always a sucker for a pretty floral print, but I also really loved the 40s tea dress shape, especially with the darling floaty sleeves. It's made from a soft jersey fabric so is incredibly easy to wear, with the v-neckline and wrap over front giving the shape a smart finish.
And just as I love it so, here is the dress with the vintage cape whilst out for a lazy Saturday date with Lord Dicely. I teamed it with a 50s Kelly bag and a huge flower from Pearls & Swine. And now to just wait for those big piles of crunchy leaves...

If you've been reading my blog for a while, you can probably tell that I'm a bit of a sucker for floral prints and vintage shapes. If it's bright and fun, I'll almost certainly fall in love with it! It helps me to feel that happy, summer feeling, even when the weather is being a bit of a wash out. And with the amount of rain we've had the last few days, clothes which radiate a little summer fun are an absolute must!
When I stumbled across this beauty from New Look Inspire on the ASOS website, my heart skipped a beat. Here was something which looked ultra pretty, but in a light, comfy fabric designed for running around in. The bardot neckline screamed vintage glamour for every day wear, and I was so excited for it to arrive.
The dress is made from jersey with a bardot neckline and skater style flare, and has just a touch of 50s glamour to it which made me feel great. It arrived just as we were having our London mini-heatwave, and in scenes unknown since I've been in my late teens, I left the house wearing it completely bare legged. No leggings, no tights and you know what? The sky didn't fall in. I've always been ultra paranoid about my skin - it's very, very dry no matter what I do to it, but after taking a synthetic hormone for two years, it has over time, began to even itself out. It's by no means perfect, but it felt like a victory leaving the house with nothing but cocoa butter and factor 50 covering my legs and I'm sure the rays of vitman D were helpful.
Of course today I'm shivering in clothes pulled from my Autumn wardrobe, but that's what the British summer is all about!
