Forever Autumn - Oriental Floral Print Jersey Dress from F&F

I need to start this blog post by saying two things - firstly, I am so in love with the sleeves and print on this dress from F&F. Secondly, I was so ill when I took these photos, and didn't realise just how awful I looked until I got them up on my screen. My face doesn't do this dress justice at all! Cold germs aside, this "Oriental Floral Print Jersey Dress" seemed to herald the unofficial start of Autumn for me, with the rusty orange set against turquoise switching something on in my brain.

I'll be the first to admit that I've been impatient about Autumn starting. The colder weather we've been experiencing have made me long for big piles of crunchy red leaves, so when I wore this dress out over the bank holiday weekend, I was so excited to finally pull out my vintage green cape. That's normally the first sign that Autumn has arrived for me, officially or not! But whilst I could talk about the merits of capes for hours, I want to instead write about the stunning shape and print of this dress It's incredibly pretty and perfect if you have a larger chest like I do.

This dress was chosen for me to review, and I felt like the person responsible had really nailed my tastes. I'm always a sucker for a pretty floral print, but I also really loved the 40s tea dress shape, especially with the darling floaty sleeves. It's made from a soft jersey fabric so is incredibly easy to wear, with the v-neckline and wrap over front giving the shape a smart finish.

And just as I love it so, here is the dress with the vintage cape whilst out for a lazy Saturday date with Lord Dicely. I teamed it with a 50s Kelly bag and a huge flower from Pearls & Swine. And now to just wait for those big piles of crunchy leaves...

Until next time,

  2. I am adoring this dress on you and in general!! I clicked through and they only appear to have it up to a size 16 :( do you know what sizes it was available in?
I can't wait to get my cape out either!

    1. Hi Hayley, it was available up to a size 22 if not a 24 (I'm wearing a 22 in the photos). That's a shame that it's out of stock, but I do find that their new items sell out fast, but often get restocked so it might be worth checking in again. I really hope that you manage to get your hands on one! xx
