I'd been having something of a deep rooted emotional affair with this Elvi Prima Champagne Quilted Skirt ever since I laid eyes on it. Managing to tow the line between modern lux and party puffball, it was pretty much the skirt of my dreams.
Made from a shiny gold, quilted material, the skirt drapes like a charm falling into a pleated skater style. It has two deep pockets to the front, hits just below the knee on my 5'6" frame and is ready to accompany you to any and all Christmas / New Year shindigs which you have lined up.
Bodysuit: H&M+ Long-sleeved body (£17.99)
Stockings: Pamela Mann Lace Top Hold Ups (£7.99)
Ankle Boots: Lorraine Kelly for JD Williams (No longer available)
Handbag: Vintage Kelly Bag (via eBay)
I teamed the skirt with my favourite recent H&M find - the H&M+ Long-sleeved body which has what Howard affectionately termed a "boob window". It's one of those items which will pair well with most separates, and gives a pretty skirt or trouser a bit more edge. To finish off, I also put on a pretty JD Williams Beaded Cape just to give the option of a little more coverage, and also because I pretty much just want to be a giant glitter ball. And I think the skirt and cape together pretty much accomplish that!
Until next time,
OK, so I fell in love with this look when you posted it on instagram, but now I know that is has pockets this might be the best skirt ever!
ReplyDeleteIt really is! I have literally had dreams about this skirt whilst I was waiting for it to arrive. It's a bit of a luxury, but honestly is the best investment piece I've ever brought! And, you know... POCKETS! ;) x
DeleteOh, this is utterly divine on you! I love how you've styled the skirt with the cape - in fact, I think I may need the cape!
