Introducing In The Style Curve

A few weeks ago, I was very excited to preview the new curve collection from In The Style. With everything from 90s midi dresses to the velvet dress of dreams, the range was an exciting foray into the realms of fast fashion for plus sizes.

I was particularly excited as In The Style are known very much for their purse friendly prices. With a pretty big roll out in terms of items available, the most expensive things are the Karina Skater Shirts at £39.99 (more on them below), with the range going up to a UK size 28.

I found the sizing to be incredibly generous, and could have easily sized down in most of the dresses I tried on. The exception there is the velvet dress in which I sized up by one and the shirt dresses which were true to size. It's also worth noting that the shirt dresses fit my J cup breasts like an absolute dream, which is something that hasn't happened since puberty kicked in!

Here are a few of my favourites from the range!

Curve Karina Shirt Dress in Black and White (£39.99)

The Curve Karina Shirt Dress is made from some sort of magic, as I have never been able to wear a buttoned down dress where I can buy my actual size rather than size up for my chest. The skater style has a pretty dip hem, with the heavy fabric hanging beautifully. The fabric also has a lot of stretch to it making it very comfy to wear. They are great for some boyfriend shirt styling, or also for living out your magician fantasies. Wait. Just me then? Click for black or white links.

Curve Emmeline Rose Satin Pleated Long Sleeve Wrap Dress (£24.99)

The Curve Emmeline Rose Satin Pleated Long Sleeve Wrap Dress is made from a lightweight satin fabric, and will be the perfect dress as we slip into spring. The fabric has a gorgeous metallic shimmer, which is calling out to be toughened up with a biker jacket. It's one of those dream dresses which transitions from day to night with a simple change of shoes and accessories, and is such a pretty colour to boot.

Curve Pearless Wine Pleated Midi Slip Dress (£24.99)

This Curve Pearless Wine Pleated Midi Slip Dress is a 90s babe of a dress, with thin straps and a tie waist belt. The deep red is a stunning winter shade, and would look amazing worn with a roll neck top underneath for a more layered look. The pleated fabric has a shiny finish, and the shape of the dress makes it a great run around number for most occasions.

Curve Binky Floral Bardot Swing Dress (£29.99)

The Curve Binky Floral Bardot Swing Dress was one of two favourites from the new curve collection, with the floral print and bardot neckline right up my street. The lightweight, floaty fabric is going to make this a frequent go-to dress in the warmer months, and it's oversized style would also make it the perfect beach cover up worn over a damp swimsuit when you want to protect yourself from the sun.

Curve Dannah Wine Crushed Velvet Off Shoulder Dress (£29.99)

My final dress and other joint favourite is the stunning Curve Dannah Wine Crushed Velvet Off Shoulder Dress. If you're looking for a knock out dress for a festive party, you won't go wrong with this sassy number. The crushed velvet feels super lux, although it is worth noting that unlike the other dresses, this one runs a little smaller. I sized up by one and it felt like a great fit and I adore the frill detail on the top half.

You can see the entire range here, and don't forget to let me know your favourites in the comments!

Until next time,

  3. I've bought one of their dresses (the pearless one in silver) but it's so lovely to see so many of the other dresses I've admired on a plus size body. xx
