Where on earth has this year gone? I can't believe that this is my last blog post for the year! Being someone who turns into an excited five year old the second Halloween is behind me, I had to bring some festive spirit to my final outfit post of 2016 - this warm and fun Santa dress, and the perfect bright red cape.
So first up, I need to talk about this dress. After the borderline mythical ASOS Curve Santa dress sold out as quickly as it had materialised, I went on the hunt for another option. This cute caped creation was found on the Lovehoney website, who offered two different plus sized versions in their inventory. This was the less skimpy of the choices, and was the perfect style where I was still very much happy to go to a Christmas party wearing it.
Whilst the dress itself is labelled suitable for up to a UK 24, it has a fairly fluid shape which is nipped in by an elasticated belt so would probably stretch a size or two further.
Keeping in character, I teamed the dress with a bright red cape from Joanna Hope at JD Williams. The textured boucle is fastened with a pretty clasp, and I felt as stylish in it as I did festive. The glittery heart bag is a treasured find from Primark's Christmas range last year, and the festive flowers and bauble earrings are both from Claire's Accessories. Apparently you can be 30-something and still go in there and blow all of your pocket money!
I hope that you have a wonderful break over the Christmas holidays, and wish you the happiest of new years as we step into 2017. See you on the other side!
