Daises x Moomins x Tatty Devine x Yours Clothing

When I originally shot these images, I had planned on making this more of an autumnal look since there is no way this dress is going to get much use during sunshine season. But I'm pulling a massive grumpy face in all of the photos where I'm wearing a jacket (probably because I was too warm!), so now we have some photos where I'm wearing a summer dress with tights and boots. Please imagine this look shot with with a fringed biker jacket on top, and me looking excited to drink some mulled spice apple juice!

Wildflowers - Daisy Painted Swing Dress from Collectif

I've always been a huge sucker for daisies, so when I saw this pretty gingham print coming out as part of Collectif's SS16 collection, I knew that at some point I'd end up twirling around in it. My lovely mother in law recently gave me some money to buy some clothes with the provision that it had to be frivolous, so I finally had the perfect excuse to make the purchase as I honestly cannot remember the last time I brought something, just because.

The dress is an absolute dream and is one of the new wave of dresses by Collectif to go up to a UK size 24. It features a halterneck style with a darling daisy applique to the bust and skirt, with the swing skirt fully flared and petticoat ready. It's a zip free pull on style with an elasticated back panel to ensure it accommodates busts of all sizes.

Despite the wealth of fabric, the dress doesn't feel heavy when worn which makes it the perfect gsrment for a lazy summer day. It also comes with a white belt which sits on the waist, and I cannot wait for the weather to warm up so that I can pretty much live in this dress.

Fresh As A Daisy - New Look Inspire Daisy Print V-Neck Skater Dress.

I absolutely love daisies. Whether they're in a park, on a necklace or in my hair, as soon as the first signs of Spring have hit, they make me happy whenever I see them. As soon as I saw this daisy print dress from the New Look Inspire collection, I just had to have it so was over the moon when I saw it appear in the sale on the ASOS website.

The dress is perfect for sunshine fun, and is teamed easily with wardrobe staples such as ballet flats and leggings. I'm wearing it here with my favourite leggings from F&F True, flowers from Pearls and Swine and a Space Invader name necklace which Howard had made from Punky Pins.

I think my favourite thing about this dress (bar the print of course) is the v-neck. I'm so used to skater dressed having a round neck, and I found with a larger chest, it had an almost sweetheart style neckline.

I'm heading off to the countryside over Easter, so this will be my last post until I'm back. I hope you have a lovely bank holiday filled with lots of chocolate and bunnies, and will speak with you when I return.♥

Spring Is Here - a look at the new plus size F&F True Collection for SS14.

Of all the seasonal transitions, Winter to Spring is easily the most problematic. When you can leave the house in glorious sunshine only to end up walking in torrential rain, layering becomes key and a wardrobe of good, quality basics becomes an important essential.

That is why I was so excited to view the new plus size range from F&F called F&F True. Available in sizes UK 16 - 28, it encompasses a whole range of bold prints, bright colours and a huge line of modern separates which are key to staying stylish when battling the ever changeable British weather.

F&F True Floral Plus Size Wrap Dress (£18) and F&F True Basic Plus Size Leggings (£6).

One of my favourite items from the range was the F&F True Floral Plus Size Wrap Dress (£18). I absolutely loved the pretty daisy print, which gave the dress a real Spring feel. It has a mock-wrap detail which makes this a great shape for anyone with a larger bust and loose cap sleeves which allow your skin to really breath. It also has a tie detailing to the back so you can choose to pull the dress in at the waist and show off your silhouette. The dress slips over the head with ease, and I chose to team it with the F&F True Basic Plus Size Leggings (£6) for an easy, casual finish. The leggings are soft and comfy and pull on with an elasticated waist ensuring an easy fit for a casual staple.

I also teamed a the leggings with another dress from the F&F True collection, this time the F&F True Floral Panelled Plus Size Scuba Dress (£25). The vibrant floral print of the dress just radiates Spring, and is made from a neoprene fabric and cute in a curve hugging shape with an hourglass creating silhouette.

The F&F True collection has more than just pretty dresses and leggings though. It contains everything from jeans, jackets and even an inspired colour blocked swimsuit.With bright pink macs and polka dot shirts, there is something for everyone's style and a multitude of fantastic, purse friendly wardrobe staples.

With so many lovely items in the collection, it's so hard to choose a favourite but I think the F&F True Floral Plus Size Wrap Dress just about came it first. It's one of those items which is both comfy, cute and smart and perfect for shooting in the studio in. I'd team it with the F&F True Basic Plus Size Leggings and maybe add a black or red cardigan for when it gets a little cooler in the evening.
