Drugstore Rock & Roll.

I love DJing at Whiskey Kittens - it always feels a little like I'm playing records to my friends at home. There are worst ways to spend an evening than watching award winning burlesque, playing my favourite songs and hanging out with my best friends!

My sets always tend to be stuck somewhere between the 50s and 70s, pretty much like my wardrobe! As such, it's always a great excuse to dress up. This photo was cheekily snapped just before we left.

Dress: Thrifted.
Cardigan: An old cropped cardigan from Yours Clothing.
Leggings: F&F True.
Boots: Primark.
Roller Necklace: Pink Powder Coated Dinkie Roller by Pip Jolley.
Flowers: Pearls & Swine.

I recently came across a brilliant album of Elvis covers, with people such as Little Richard, Johnny Cash and many others doing excellent covers of The King's greatest hits. My favourite track from the album is Betty Everett's Hound Dog which I played as part of a three-song mini Elvis tribute.

Tom played a brilliant funk set before we finished the night with a bit too much rum and lots of Aerosmith, Guns'n'Roses and of course.... more Bowie. I'm sad that I'm missing next month's WK adventures, but it's for a good cause - I'm running 5K for Breast Cancer Care

With the handsome Lord Dicely.

Until next time,
