One of the problems with being a photographer for fashion brands is that sometimes you find yourself making a mental shopping list whilst you shoot. The second I saw the sample of this gorgeous Lottie Heart Angel Sleeve Midi Dress from Scarlett & Jo, I knew that it'd eventually find its way into my wardrobe when released.
If you're still on the look out for the perfect Christmas Day or NYE outfit, then hold up because have I got an outfit combo for you! Glitter and sparkle have been such a huge thing as we stepped into the festive season, but two of my favourite standout items have come straight from plus size brand, Yours Clothing.
For larger busted ladies, those in the know have been fans of the Lady Voluptuous Lyra dress ever since it burst onto the scenes after a collaboration with George of Fuller Figure Fuller Bust. Made from a lovely stretch jersey with a cross over neck and back tie design, the Lyra was the answer to comfy, smart, vintage style clothing which wasn't uncomfortable or restrictive

I Dream Of Joanie (Clothing)
Ever since Joanie Clothing launched onto the scene a few years ago, I have been a huge fan of their cute dresses and super sweet tees. Along with my previous posts here, I realised when I was organising the photos I'd shot for posts that I had a bit of a Joanie obsession going on so thought I'd do a round up with all the items together. Most of these have been purchased in their legendary sales, but you can tell from my fading hair colour that there were slight gaps in timing!
I knew I had to get my hands on this Oversize Cold Shoulder Dress from Monki after seeing it on the beautiful Love Leah. I had real life cartoon heart eyes after looking at her photo, and although the dress doesn't look quite as good on me as it does her, it's become my go to hot weather dress when shooting or lazing about.
It's no secret that this man is pretty much my favourite person in the entire world, so when Jacamo got in touch and kindly offered to dress him up, I absolutely jumped at the chance! Howard's usual style is skinny jeans and band t-shirts, spending much of his time looking like an off duty rock star. With his aged biker jacket and aviators finishing off the look, there's no denying that I am unashamedly his biggest fan so it was going to be interesting to dress him up as an alternative version of my boyfriend.
Whether you're splashing off on holiday or exploring your local leisure centre, a good swimsuit which makes you feel fabulous is a must. And that's exactly how I felt in this Palm Beach Epithesen Golden Rays Swimsuit from UK Swimwear. It's a classic style with a slight retro twist, perfect for those looking for something both pretty and understated.

When In The Style launched their new curve range last December, I totally fell in love. (You can see my original write up here.) From red velvet to pretty florals, so much of it was the exact sort of thing I enjoyed wearing on a daily basis, so I had been waiting for their follow up range with baited breath.
Frills and florals make this ruffle detail tea dress from Simply Be a real double threat in the spring trend stakes. Available in a choice of black, red or navy and up to a UK size 32, it's the perfect everyday run around dress for when you want to feel cute, but also stay comfy.
I've always found myself swooning over the beautiful prints and cuts from Wolf & Whistle, so was over the moon when they announced they would be creating a plus size range which extended up to a UK size 26. Whilst there are only a handful of items in the capsule range, they have managed to create a beautiful series which is diverse and perfect for the upcoming wedding season. Whether you're a fan of block colours, pretty florals or intricate lace, this curve line has something for most tastes.

Introducing In The Style Curve
A few weeks ago, I was very excited to preview the new curve collection from In The Style. With everything from 90s midi dresses to the velvet dress of dreams, the range was an exciting foray into the realms of fast fashion for plus sizes.
The second I put on this pretty High Neck Dress from R édition at La Redoute, I felt like a 60s dolly. I love everything about it from the neckline to the fluted sleeves, the length to how cute it makes my VBO look!

Plus Size Posse
A few months ago, I put a shout on on social media looking for people who would be interested in telling me why the phrase "plus size" was so important to them. It was a question born out of the "drop the plus" debate, and I wanted to know how the term plus size had been a useful tool for good. It was so wonderful to see the replies coming in, with stories of people finding body acceptance, self love and a place amongst a supportive community which straddled politics, feminism as well as fashion. Over two days with very extreme weather, I photographed some of them in their favourite outfits, which you can see below.
With an Autumn chill in the air and Halloween just around the corner, it's hard to not let your thoughts wander off towards the North Pole. Whether you're on the good list or naughty list this year, there is something from the JD Williams Christmas collection to suit every taste. Sparkling sequins, embellished knitwear and a huge selection of warm coats all feature heavily, so whether you want Christmas Day casual or party ready glamour, there is something for everyone.
If you're looking for a selection of the most perfect party dresses, Simply Be have recently been knocking it out of the park. It was love at first sight when I first spotted this floral print tea dress on the site, and I could see myself wearing it for a variety of both smart and casual occasions. That's the great thing about the classic tea dress - they completely transform depending on whether you're pairing them with pumps or heels!

The (Red and) White Stripes
I will always have a soft spot for good vintage repro, so when Lindy Bop launched their huge 75% off sale, like many others I was waving my credit card in the air with excitement. But as a freelancer, the adult voice inside my head told me to show restraint, so whilst I could have easily brought at least seven dresses, I chose just the one which I had been lusting after even when it was still fully priced.

Black Cherry
Sometimes you come across an item of clothing, and you just know that it'll become one of those easy, chic looking no fuss garments. One of those wonderful, elusive items which you can just throw on and know that it'll go with anything. That's how I felt when I came across this side split tunic from Simply Be (£11), and I knew the second I put it on that it would be a wardrobe staple during the warmer weather.
Available in a choice of black, grey or red, I choose the darkest option to reflect how I feel about sweating it out during London's smoggy heatfest. But also, you know, because black goes with pretty much everything and I like to know that I have those easy to wear, dependable bits hanging in my wardrobe.
Here I've teamed it with some high-waisted jeans, and I love how the tunic's slits are high enough that they still show a little bit of skin. With the warmer weather, I've been wearing it a lot over some high wasited shorts, and it's been a great outfit for shooting in as I'm cool, but not in danger of flashing anyone! Plus it's so comfy, with the stretchy material both soft and cosy.

Autumn Serenade - AW16 from F&F
I hope you're ready for a picture heavy post, as I've got lots of details from the forthcoming AW16 collection from F&F. When I say they knocked it out of the park with this one, I mean that ball is still currently floating around somewhere in orbit! I came away feeling as if someone had followed me around London for the past few months and designed my dream collection - I have a mental shopping list a mile long, wanting pretty much everything on show! Come and have a look, and don't forget to tell me what you think in the comments. ❤
The collection itself is filled with colour, something which is quite surprising for a collection aimed at the cooler end of the year. Satin bombers with stunning, bright designs feature heavily, as did grungy glamour, floral Victoriana, vintage shapes and the gold dress of dreams. I loved all of the muted pinks which give part of the collection a cooler feel without being icy, and adored their reinterpretation of Victoriana, overlaying it with pretty florals for a softer twist. Pretty prints and gorgeous embroidery also feature heavily throughout, with the poppy print mini skirt certainly one to look out for. Much of the range is perfect for it's high summer launch, waiting for the addition of layers and tights as we slip into Autumn.
It's almost impossible to choose my favourite item, so I'm going with a top three instead. The gold lamé style dress is certainly up there (my photos don't do it justice at all!), as is the floral dress with a pink ribbon neckline and the high collard red dress with ribbon tie. But the satin bombers, red faux fur trim coat, ditsy print eveything and the beautiful embroidered knitwear all get a mention too. In short, prepare to melt your credit card when the collection starts to drop in June.
Davina McCall is back fronting the next season of F&F Active, which again is covered by strong prints, bright colours and well cut shapes. The mesh bodysuit deserves to be in it's own category, and would certainly hold it's own against Beyonce's Ivy Park line. It blurs the line between active and lounge wear perfectly, with separates you'd be happy to dress in just because it looks good.
The lovely Hanna from HannaWears was my press day hopping partner for the day, with my full outfit below.
