It's only been in the last year or two that I've really appreciated the sartorial power of a good maxi dress. Whether it's a simple t-shirt style, or something more stylised like this Simply Be version, they never fail to make you look cool, even when the temperature is sky rocketing.
I really liked the pairing of the buttoned up top and pulled in waist on this dress, with the floor length style and long sleeve helpful as an additional layer between the factor 50 and your skin. Whilst I'd normally avoid long sleeves in the summer, the fabric is thin and flowing so avoids making you overheat.
Belt: Vintage
Necklace: Primark (no longer available)
I added the hat, necklace and boots to keep everything monochrome, and it's the perfect outfit for a summer goth like myself. Since my ability to tan tends to be invisible >> white >> lobster >> death , I try to stay out of the way of the sun's evil rays and this helps to do so whilst keeping cool.
Until next time,
I've actually been eyeing this up for sometime but wasn't sure how to style it, but I love how you've paired it with that hat and belt! It looks gorgeous on you!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Lisa! It's one which I'd really recommend, as it's so versatile! :)
DeleteI'd seen this on their website and was hoping to see it on a fellow blogger to see what it looked like better, it's so cute! It's goth without being 'too' black and goth for summer, you look awesome
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Kitty, and very happy to help! :) I definitely recommend it as a good all rounder! :)
