Where on earth has this year gone? I can't believe that this is my last blog post for the year! Being someone who turns into an excited five year old the second Halloween is behind me, I had to bring some festive spirit to my final outfit post of 2016 - this warm and fun Santa dress, and the perfect bright red cape.
If you want your LBD to have the wow factor, then this Black Dropped Waist Tunic Dress from Live Unlimited might just be the dress you've been looking for.

Introducing In The Style Curve
A few weeks ago, I was very excited to preview the new curve collection from In The Style. With everything from 90s midi dresses to the velvet dress of dreams, the range was an exciting foray into the realms of fast fashion for plus sizes.
I photograph most of the product images for the Scarlett & Jo website, so having shot this dress on at least five different people, I could no longer resist it's charms when a discount code for Simply Be materialised. The Kimono Flare Dress is one of those rare items which seems to fit perfectly no matter what body shape it's on, and just drapes on all figures like an absolute dream.
I'd been having something of a deep rooted emotional affair with this Elvi Prima Champagne Quilted Skirt ever since I laid eyes on it. Managing to tow the line between modern lux and party puffball, it was pretty much the skirt of my dreams.
The second I put on this pretty High Neck Dress from R édition at La Redoute, I felt like a 60s dolly. I love everything about it from the neckline to the fluted sleeves, the length to how cute it makes my VBO look!

The Shape Of Things - Yoona Balloon Pocket Dress from Navabi and Black Kimono Jacket from Elvi
A lot of my wardrobe is designed with a more hourglass cut in mind, but recently I've found myself drawn to oversized styles which offer dramatic shapes and a layer ready comfort. With a larger chest getting in the way, I was struggling to find something which didn't look like posh pyjamas on me, so felt like I'd struck gold when I came across this stunning Yoona Balloon Pocket Dress from Navabi.
I shot this dress ages ago (hence the different coloured hair), but have been somewhat sitting on the images as for me it felt like the perfect winter dress. After all, nothing says modern Ice Queen quite like a high white lace neckline!

SS17 Round Up - F&F
I love anything which includes a harness detail, so when I saw this amazing Simply Be Harness Detail Bodycon for just £15, it was a total no brainer for me. It spoke to my inner teenage goth, and is the perfect balance of comfy and cor blimey!

Happy Feet - Party Shoes from Brantano
If you're looking for the perfect pair of party shoes, online retailer Brantano have some amazing Black Friday deals on womens shoes. Whether you're looking for something classic or something which has a bit of sparkle, I've found my favourite picks for dancing the night away in. And with 20% off a £50 spend, it's the perfect time to nab yourself a festive bargain!
This week's round up of SS17 fashion is filled with stunning prints, fun metallics and accessories galore. Previews from Simply Be, JD Williams, New Look, River Island and House of Fraser all brought with them the promise of summer fun, and just for a day, I was able to stop obsessing over all things Christmas just long enough to fall in love the forthcoming sartorial season.
As soon as the autumn hits, my wardrobe goes from floaty florals to almost all black everything. Anyone who's read my blog for a while will know that Wednesday Addams is one of my favourite style icons, so this dress obviously leaped out at me the second I saw it.

Christmas Sparkle with La Redoute
I never need an excuse to swoon over pretty party dresses, so was very excited to pop along to see La Redoute and their festive partywear offerings. Filled with shimmering metallics, cute clutches and foil fabrics perfect for festive mischief, have a look at the video below for some party filled inspiration.
SS17 is well and truly go, and the trends for the coming seasons are starting to emerge strong and fast! Embroidered bikers, sports lux, nautical stripes and bright prints are on show everywhere, so here is a quick round up of the offerings from this week's shows.
A few months ago, I put a shout on on social media looking for people who would be interested in telling me why the phrase "plus size" was so important to them. It was a question born out of the "drop the plus" debate, and I wanted to know how the term plus size had been a useful tool for good. It was so wonderful to see the replies coming in, with stories of people finding body acceptance, self love and a place amongst a supportive community which straddled politics, feminism as well as fashion. Over two days with very extreme weather, I photographed some of them in their favourite outfits, which you can see below.

SS17 Round Up - Navabi & Elvi
Now that we're half way through November, the Christmas countdown is officially on! And whilst most of us are thinking about how to sparkle in our partywear, it's also time to consider the other great beauty we need to dress - our Christmas trees!
I am such a stationary fiend but as both a freelancer and a blogger, I like to kid myself that it's mostly for practical reasons. However sometimes a product comes along with a concept so wonderful that your desire to own it comes 100% guilt free, and that is exactly how I felt when I stumbled across the StunBear notebook on Kickstarter. If you want something beautiful to plan out your goals, your time and to really help you focus, make sure this goes onto your Christmas list immediately!

SS17 Round Up - Studio Eight
Plus size brand Studio Eight have really established themselves as one of the best go to brands for stunning occassionwear, and their SS17 collection brings some of it's most exciting offerings yet. From stunning floor length beaded maxis to wedding worthy prom dresses, it's a selection filled with vibrant and beautiful designs with clever embellishments and stunning fabrics.
SS17 from George at Asda brings an exciting whirlwind of colour in the form of loud dresses, fun accessories and swoon worthy shoes. It's all about the detail with embroidery, buttons, frills and frou frou all coming to the forefront in a collection which is essentially about grown up fun. It creates a fine balance between glamour and frivolity, with sharp tailoring and soft florals paired with muted tones cute metallics.
Sometimes you come across such a gem of a website, you just have to talk about it. When I was recently looking to find some local service professionals in my area, I stumbled across Bidvine who were able to help me match with people who could help. I was looking for two things - a ukulele teacher and someone to help move some furniture from Berkshire to London. Both queries were speculative as I wanted to get a feel for what was available, but it turned out that the site was able to turn around multiple leads for both.
I think anyone who knows me knows that autumn is my favourite time of year, so when I saw this stunning print on the Lovedrobe website, it was love at first sight! The yellow floral print is so pretty, with the silver leaves balancing out the print to perfection.

I love autumn fashion as it allows me to wrap myself up in lots of cosy layers, so pinafore dresses have been a huge favourite in my wardrobe. Towards the end of summer I fell in love with this pretty dress from Jameela Jamil for Simply Be, with it's pale blue shade and plentiful pockets right up my street.

Heavy Metal
I have been so in love with the molten metals trend this season, so instantly became obsessed with this cute 90s style cami dress from Simply Be. I suspected that the shape of it wasn't going to be my thing, but it was so adorable that I just had to give it a try!

Hey Mickey, You're So Fine
Sometimes you see something which makes you feel so happy, you simply have to buy it. That was how I felt when my eyes fell on this super cute Mickey Mouse varsity jacket from Primark, where there was just the one, in my size seemingly waiting for me to stumble across it. I'm not a big believer in fate, but sometimes... you know.
The moment when you upgrade from sponge tip applicators to your first set of brushes is a rite of passage for anyone who loves make-up. And with thanks to brands such as Brush Works offering fantastic ranges at budget prices, it needn't cost a small fortune as you fine tune what style of application works best with your favourite products.
With an Autumn chill in the air and Halloween just around the corner, it's hard to not let your thoughts wander off towards the North Pole. Whether you're on the good list or naughty list this year, there is something from the JD Williams Christmas collection to suit every taste. Sparkling sequins, embellished knitwear and a huge selection of warm coats all feature heavily, so whether you want Christmas Day casual or party ready glamour, there is something for everyone.

Summer Days, Slipping Away
It seems a little silly posting about swimwear in Autumn, but having just got back from a week in the deepest Welsh countryside where there was the promise of a heated pool, I needed to find myself something out of season. I was actually really worried about finding anything at all now that the traditional holiday season is over, so was pleasently surprised that Simply Be still carried a fairly diverse range.
Slogan sweatshirts are all over the place at the moment, so when clothes2order got in touch with me about making up my own, I was very excited! They are the perfect bridge for Autumn when it's not quite cold enough for a coat, but there's still a nip in the air

#ShareTheLove with Curvissa
One of my favourite things about blogging is the friends I've made in the process, so when Curvissa got in touch with me about their #ShareTheLove campaign, I jumped at the chance to get involved. It's such a wonderful idea - happiness and friendship are so important, and this list could have been ten times as long!
As someone who wears their hair down fairly frequently, matte lipsticks are my make-up bff! I've recently found myself drawn more and more to the liquid variety, and have tried out several drug store brands to see what they can offer. Of the few I've recently tested, this bright red offering from Maybelline was hands down my favourite!
On the evening prior to Fashion Week hitting the streets of London, online retailer JD Williams took over the Soho House screening suite to showcase a brand new short film called The New F Word. This comes after the success of their AW16 50 Plus Fashion Week runway show last year - an event which was as inspirational as it was groundbreaking.
Sometimes you don't know that you need something until it's right in front of you, and today, that thing is the amazing Elko LED Magnifying Vanity Mirror from Pebble Grey. I'm not exaggerating when I say that this is perfect for making sure your make-up is blended to perfection!
When this beautiful Labradorite Magic ring arrived in the post, I actually gasped because of how stunning it is. Labradorite is such a pretty mineral, with a huge array of colours shimmering from it's centre. It's like wearing a tiny universe on your finger, and instantly became one of my favourite items in my jewellery box the second I slipped it on.

Berry Good
These photos do not do this adorable H&M+ dress any justice. I had planned on shooting a few different looks on the day I photographed it, but it was so hot, sweaty and humid in London that I felt like I needed a second shower about ten minutes into being dressed. That's why my hair has turned into fluff, and my face has the look of "Can we stop now please?" This ended up being the only outfit photographed, and looking back on these images I am SO glad that I didn't continue! I don't really get on well with the heat, and am very much an AW girl through and through!

La Vie En Rose - AW16 from La Redoute
This is my favourite time of year for fashion, with the golden sunshine and changing leaves the perfect backdrop for an autumnal colour palette. Burnt oranges, berry reds and soft camel shades all feature heavily as we cosy up to the colder months, and a riffle through La Redoute's AW drop has got me so excited for the temperatures to drop!

I'm going to be honest and say that I brought this dress whilst tipsy. Whenever I am fortunate enough to spend some time with my wonderful mother-in-law, gin and rosé tend to feature heavily as we catch up. And after one such session, it was all too easy to click purchase when my eyes turned into (slightly glazed over) drunken hearts upon seeing this Lovedrobe design for Simply Be.
Autumn is without a doubt my favourite time of year, so when I saw this darling Sterling Silver Leaf Pendant from Franki Baker, I completely fell in love. With it's stunning silver finish, the necklace really is the perfect item to team with those seasonal black and berry colour palettes.
You cannot beat a maxi dress in your suitcase for some seriously stylish holiday fashion. This stunning stripe maxi shirt dress from Simply Be (£45) will take you from beach to brunch with ease, with it's effortless style making it so easy to wear. When I saw it on the website, it was giving me some serious 70s boho vibes which made my heart race, so I knew I had to order it and see if I could put a whole look together around it.
A good lipstick discovery is like unearthing some sort of treasure haul. and as someone who regularly goes into Boots for one thing only to leave much later covered in make-up swatches, I really do enjoy finding new favourites. I was very excited when I discovered London based brand MYJ Beauty via their Instagram page, and even more so when a package arrived at my door with a selection of goodies for me to road test!
If you're looking for a selection of the most perfect party dresses, Simply Be have recently been knocking it out of the park. It was love at first sight when I first spotted this floral print tea dress on the site, and I could see myself wearing it for a variety of both smart and casual occasions. That's the great thing about the classic tea dress - they completely transform depending on whether you're pairing them with pumps or heels!
I was so excited to review this beautiful camera bag from Abitoffthemapp. As both a photographer and a fashion lover, I've found it increasingly difficult to find a bag which is both practical AND attractive. Other than old vintage classics which aren't always as hard-wearing as I need them to be, the choices seem to mostly be sleek but too small, or large and ugly. My current go to on shoot days is a musty green canvas affair which holds everything I need safely, but is more frump than fancy. This lovely soft brown bag fits right in with my vintage style loving sensibilities whilst managing to find space for everything to slot in safely.
When I first stumbled across new brand Freedom Of Figure, I absolutely loved their concept. It was simple - a series of well designed wardrobe staples designed to be genuinely free size. With many items fitting between a UK 8 - 24 I was really intruiged by their clever cuts and use of fabric and absolutely jumped at the chance to wriggle myself into one and put it through it's paces!
With the 90s revival in full swing, my current wardrobe staples are very reminiscent of the dream style I wished I'd had as a teenager. If 15 year old me could high-five 30-something me right now, she totally would! With my fashion (and music) sensibilities caught smack bang in between my gothy and grungy loves, my heart was all vampy lips and cute black dresses, whilst my wardrobe was baggy jeans and oversized band tees and hoodies. I really lacked confidence in everything to do with myself, so my style was as much to blend into a sea of other Camdenites every weekend, hiding amongst the bulbous layers of fabric so that no one would spot me. Oh how I'd love to give teen me a hug and tell her to just do her own thing.

Devil's Haircut
It's been a while since I last spoke about my photography work, although those who follow me on Instagram would have got some hints as to what I've been up to over the last few months. Most of what I shoot tends to be based around fashion, beauty and portraiture, so when I get to combine my three loves with one client, I'm always a very happy photo geek. UK hair dressing chain Headmasters is one such client where I get to shoot that happy trinity, and whilst I tend to work on a few smaller jobs with them a year, it's the week long shoot with their up and coming stars which I always really look forward to.

For All The Cowls
I do love a good cowl neck, so when Chattermonkey, my wonderful, eagle eyed fashionista of a friend spotted this beautiful navy blue Scarlett & Jo dress at a recent Fat Positive Clothes Swap, I was over the moon! Whist I don't think it's the sort of style which would have attracted my attention on the hanger, the second I wriggled myself into it, I was in love!
